Self-Help with Professional Guidance
In 2004, the East Baton Rouge Parish Library and specialist Ursula Carmena established The Career Center with a grant from the Baton Rouge Area Foundation. The Center serves employees who are being terminated, those seeking new skills and responsibilities in the current workplace and those just entering or re-entering the work force. Other services will be designed to assist area business needs. Here's what we do for you.
The Career Center is not an employment agency or a job-training agency. It is a free public service offering trained help and extensive resources to identify your needs while planning a career path.
Ursula Bogan Carmena, Career Center Director, has 20 years experience in the career development field.
In 1990, she developed and built up a professional service for aptitude evaluation and career coaching.
She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the National Career Development Association. ursula@careercenterbr.com
